Sometimes the best things comes in pair and for hop combos it is often the case. We love blending a modern juicy hop with a more retro hop to give depth and complexity to big fruit forward beers. In this case it is a cracking combo of Citra and Chinook. Citra is the obvious poster boy of modern IPA with all of it's in your face juicy fruit and citrus characteristics but Chinook is an oft forgotten gem that has always held a special place in our hearts. And it compliments Citra so well both by elevating the fruit characteristics with it's own weird but enticing green pineapple and ruby grapefruit notes and by adding depth through it's pine sap notes.
